To annotate: Lithuania wants to affiliate its mechanized infantry brigade „Iron Wolf“ with the German land forces. There had been a first exploratory talk this week. Upon request of the author the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence gave the following commentary:

„Lithuania has started negotiations with Germany concerning Mechanised Infantry Brigade „Iron Wolf“ of the Lithuanian Armed Forces affiliation with an Armoured Division of the German Armed Forces. It is supposed to fall under bilateral arrangement of affiliation. Joining multilateral arrangements such as Framework Nation Concept might be also explored in the future. Modalities of affiliation is under development.”
